Our First Pinewood Derby!

Our first pinewood derby...what a thrill! Gabe wanted to make a hummer limo. He was really excited about it and I think he had a fun time. He is a real "the class is half full" kind of guy, even though he came in third to last his report of the evening was that "I won two races!"

One Year Old!!

Elijah is now 1! We had a little family party for him which was really fun! We made him a cake and let him dig in. Then it was time for the presents.

Elijah had a good time opening his presents and we had a good time watching him. He is such a fun baby. I can't believe that he is one already!! We all adore that little guy.

Christmas

So this is the first Christmas we spent at our own home by choice. Last Christmas our trip was unexpectedly cancelled because the day before we were supposed to leave I started having contractions and I was 7 months pregnant. But this year we decided that we had so much fun last year that we were ready for our own family traditions!

Christmas Eve PJ's...

Elijah has an earlier bedtime then the rest of the kids and gets pretty grumpy if he is up late so he opened his first and then went to bed. What a cute boy!

The older kids acted out the Christmas Story. They were really excited to open their one present that we give them on Christmas Eve...and still seem to forget that their Christmas Eve present is always PJ's. Emma was not a big robe fan this year...she did get one but since she didn't like it I took it back to Target.

Longwood Gardens

One of Eric's favorite places to go out here is Longwood Gardens. We go there once or twice a month. They have a huge conservatory that is the same temperature all year round and it is absolutey amazing at Christmas...Actually it is pretty great all year round. They have beautiful gardens that are really fun in the summer and spring. This is going to be what Eric misses most about living here.

A Snow Day!

Here is the beautiful Spring weather we are enjoying here in Philly on April 16th. At first the schools had a 2 hour delay. After 10 min. of waiting for the bus I called the transportation dept. to see if we already missed it...nope school is canceled. A snow day in the middle of April!?! My kids were not to bummed, but I am so sick of the cold weather.

Elijah's Blessing

Elijah was sooo good during his blessing! I was a little worried because he had cold all week and was more fussy than normal, but he was wide awake and totally silent through the whole thing. Eric gave him a beautiful blessing and everything went really smoothly. I bought his blessing outfit before he was born...little did I know it would be almost freezing in April! People in the circle: Jack (my dad), Sterling, Nate McOmber, Chad Berbert and Spencer Hinckley.

Lets get started!

This weekend was Easter Sunday and Eric blessed Elijah! My parent were in town for spring break...too bad it didn't feel much like spring. We had snow flurries for a few days. Burr!
