Meg at 4 months

We went to Meg's appointment today and the nurse weighed and measured her, and then we waited for the doctor. The nurse poked her head back in and was wondering if she could just double check her weight. She has dropped in her percentile for weight quite a bit. She is 4 months and weighs 10 lbs. 13 oz. That puts her in the 2nd percentile. She is cut out of the same mold as my little Isaac. The doctor wasn't too concerned especially after I mentioned her older brother's stats. But he did say I might want to start solids now, just to be sure she was getting enough food. She is in the 15th percentile for height and the 98th for head size. That sounds about right...we have big heads in this family.

Right now Meg loves to roll and roll and roll. (I mentioned to the Doctor that I thought she also might be thin because she is so active...just like Isaac was). She loves to grab things and put them in her mouth. She loves to look at her hands alot. I get the feeling she is pretty impressed with them.

Meg managed to get over to these cabinets and thought they looked interesting, so she decided to try and eat them...I thought it was pretty funny so I got the camera.

When she heard me take a picture she wanted to roll over and see what was going on then she got distracted by her amazing hands...I think they are pretty spectacular myself.
When I took a picture of that she remembered why she rolled over in the first place and wanted to say Hi!

One other little tidbit that I think is endearing. Meg crosses her legs, since the time she was born. When I would take her little diaper off to get her ready for the bath I would stand her up, she would lock her little legs and stand straight up with her feet crossed at the ankles every time. It is soo cute and I made Eric take a picture because I was afraid she would stop doing it. (this picture will have to remain unposted for obvious reasons) She still crosses her legs when she stands up, not as consistently as she did but often enough. Now she is getting big enough that her diaper doesn't even have to be off for her to cross her little ankles. Too cute, such a lady!

Here is Meg's goofy smile. Gotta love it!

Sounds like our kids, at least the head size in relation to the rest of the body. I wonder if that comes from you and I or their dads.
